I live in the Netherlands, and bought this today at a local second hand shop for a few bucks. I think it is just gorgeous. A combination of transfer and hand work. About 20 cm high. Aside from some tiny nibbles on the rim of the vase, it is in super condition. I can't find anything on Google Images of this vase, nor anything on the back stamp. The categories are probably wrong, too... Help, anyone? Thanks!

Here's one vase with that mark, can't read what it says:

I found another vase with the Delfia stamp on it, it sold at a good value:

Oh Efesgirl, I just read your profile. Would you mind taking a look at the bisque figurine I posted yesterday? Your thoughts would be appreciated. :)

Thanks katherine! Polychrome didn't cross my mind, even though I have some polychrome. They don't look like that vase. I left a comment on your bisque figure. These are Hummel-like figures. I call them the "Poor Man's Goebel".

      Yes, thank you very much!

When I saw the jar, the peacock matched yours but yours is more vivid. Sorry I didn't find anything on the maker Delfia, if I come across anything more, I'll let you know. :)

I did see one reference on the net in French suggesting it was an Italian repro of Delft. Interesting. I'm still looking around.

vetraio, I saw the same thing, all the posts suggested that Delfia was made in Italy. So, like you, I suspected there are modern reproductions, but this one and one or two others could be originals based on the mark. The wear and the base suggest it is an older piece, anyway. Interesting that this piece may be older, yet it is quite a vivid piece.
