Loetz Violetta Optisch, PN 85/5157, ca. 1903 - A Bakalowits Exclusive

The Loetz Violetta decor is a semi-transparent opal ground over a violet inner casing that spreads at the bottom. This decor was made exclusively for E. Bakalowits Söhne, Vienna, and as such is quite hard to find.

This form and decor date to 1903, according to Lötz Böhmisches Glas 1880-1940, Band 2 (Katalog der Musterschnitt). The opal layer also glows intensely under black light for added coolness. :)
