I've inherited a number of dolls from my Mom's collection. This is a beautiful bride doll. She left a note about it, saying it was supposed to be a 1940 doll and Madame Alexander's "1st best seller". I'd like to know if this doll has a name. She has lily of valley flowers, which is my May birthday flower too!
What a beautiful doll, that gown is amazing! I love the box, too. :)
She does have a pretty face. Thanks!
She's lovely. And, in such good condition. Do save her for yourself as a special remembrance of your Mom.
She is Wendy Ann composition doll by Madame Alexander . Beautiful condition . Eyes could be cleared up they have crystalized.

Your dolls composition is so clean looking is there any lines in it crazing ? Almost can't tell by photo if compo or Hard plastic :-)
I thought the eyes were just different. I'll have to look up what you said, very interesting. And thanks for a name too! I am familiar with the term crazing, in reference to pottery. Did not know dolls had the same issue. I don't see any. Her skin is better then mine! Happy Memorial Day to all.
I wondered about the eyes, Manikin! Don't you love her hairdo? This is a lovely doll. :)
