Hello, I am new on this site, and this is my story: My grandaughter is graduating from elementary school and I wanted to find a nice present for her, I was thinking "teddy bear and baloons", I started looking in thrift stores, toy stores, garage sales and web sites, but I didn't see anything special. Until yesterday, I went back to the first thrift store I went before. And I saw this family of teddys. I thought, this is different and unique. Bought it and took it home with me. My husband saw them today and asked me if this was the gift for the grandaughter, and I responded: yes, dont you think is cute!? to which he remarked: I dont know how much you paid for the family of teddys but you need to check the website, those are antique teddys and they may be expensive and priceless to teddy bear collectors. So here I am, trying to learn about them. Are they real? I read some tips about how to know if they are real, but you know, when you want something to be real, is like when you see a commercial of an illness and they said all the symptoms, you believe that you have all the symptoms, so therefore you are sick! In the case of My new family of teddys, the fur looks real, like mohair, all the teddys are attached or glued together, but I can tell that their leggs and arms move forward or backward and the heads on some of them from side to side. No labels of any kind. Plus they are glued together, I cant really see the whole body on each of them. Any ideas or suggestion to where to look for answers? Thank you. Enjoy the pictures of My new family of teddys.
