Chinese or Japanese Large Jar...Having trouble with age

I found this large jar (cookie or flour jar size) at an estate sale and I am having a very hard time finding out when or who made it. I think it may be Chinese? or Japanese made? It is in really good condition and would like to know anything more about it. Any help would be very welcome! Thanks!! :)
