MT WASHINGTON PRODUCED CROWN MILANO ROSE BOWLS w/ gorgeous soft, pastel detailed enameling. These photos do not show the pseudo Burmese affect present on this bowl- but look at photo #2 where you can see the salmon pink blending to yellow. Most of these bowls were marked on the bottom according to the size of the bowl- this one is marked 619 in black ink which is a large bowl measuring almost 4.5 inches tall. Crown Milano bowls had gold enameled rims- you can see that in the 1st 2 photos. The pontils were always finished- round, concave and smooth. Popular enameled patterns are chrysanthemums, oak leaves & acorns- plus other floral patterns. The last photo is another Crown Milano Rose Bowl decorated by SMITH BROTHERS in Pansies. This bowl is NOT PSEUDO BURMESE & is also marked on the bottom.
