This is a late war Japanese Army infantryman's soft cap. It is made of wool, and has a cheap leather chinstrap and buttons. The interior has a leather sweatband, and a cheesecloth lining. The Japanese Army star insignia is partially missing. The cap has a tie string on the back for adjusting the size, and three holes on each side for ventilation.
