Gustav E. Pazaurek wrote (among other things) two important books about art glass in the early 20th century. One was Moderne Gläser (Modern Glass), ca. 1902, which was a contemporary account of glass being made in the jugendstil era, and the other was this book- Kunstgläser der Gegenwart (Art Glass of the Present), a contemporary account of art glass production in the early Art Deco period, written in 1925. I had the first book in my library already; in fact, Moderne Gläser is now in the public domain, and is available on Google books as an e-book! I recently ordered the latter of the two books from a seller in Germany. It was interesting to see the personal stamp on the inside of the book of a Mr. Pius Macho of Josephinenhütte in Schreiberhau. According to the book Josephine Glassworks 1900-1950 - Art Nouveau- Art Deco- Modern, by Stefania Zelasko, Pius Macho was an engraver at the Josephine Glassworks between 1920 and 1950. It's a nice coincidence to have a book that covers a particular company (among others) that was owned by an artisan working there when the book was written!
Really an important piece of history congrats....
