    This is a heavy measuring tool of some sort. There are two Japanese characters on the side. The increments are .5 up to 4.0, but the tool doesn't indicate if it's in centimeters, length, etc. Any help identifying would be great.

      This was in with all the other things my uncle brought back from Japan during his service then. I suppose it could be older but it certainly isn't newer than WWII.
