This small desk belonged to my wife's great aunt. We estimate that it is probably mid to late 1800s. Its measurements are 900mm wide, 460mm deep, 700mm from floor to desk top. I am not sure what type of wood it as made from however it could be cedar. Unfortunately we do not have much information about the desk and as we would like to hand it down to one of the children we would like to know as much as we can about its origin. It may very well be a bespoke item and therefore not particularly any style or period. If anyone could shed some light onto the style or any detail it would be much appreciated so that we can pass this onto the family.
