While on a trip from Provo Ut to Chandler AZ this week we found it pretty difficult to find any great signs, poles or Gas Pumps until we were out in the woods so far that everyone seemed to have overlooked this old five sided Texaco sign frame on some other type of pole and it was standing like a sore thumb out on the roadside. The sign frame is obviously a side hanger Texaco frame that has been modified and welded on the top of a Banjo pole. If you look careafully you can see that it goes right through the roof of the old building where it is located. Because of the difficulty of removal we passed this one up, just like a lot of other previous observers who passed by this old sign pole. If you ever happen to be wandering around Wikieup Arizona you will pass right buy this old sign pole. This was a pretty slow day for finding much in the old AZ desert but the fun is in the hunt and when we found this one it reved up the old heart just like clockwork. Keep on Hunting!
