Hello, this one is a mystery to me. I often help friends clean out clutter and organize their spaces and a week or so ago I was at my friends home and she showed me this piece. She said she purchased it at a bazarre in Kabul in 1960 something when she was there as part of the Peace Corps, working as a health worker. Can anyone tell me what it might be made of, and if it in fact might be older than when she purchased it in the 1960's? I have no clue. Any info appreciated. Not a trunk - so not my specialty. :) The engraving is gorgeous and very detailed.
