I have a training used 2009/2010 David Beckham practice jersey but having trouble finding an authentication service that will do a COA. Can anyone help me determine the authenticity?

Frankly speaking the provenance is all there but apparently there were over a quarter million of these Herbalife endorsed jerseys already sold before he was even formally introduced as an LA Galaxy player at a Home Depot appearance. - A COA authentification probably wouldn't add any essential value to it but if you could get him to actually sign it would.

Is there any way that I could see if the jersey was a team issued item or retail? It has all the right markings and is unwashed. I know the serial numbers must mean something. I have other replica jersey's and those are Climacool and are obviously of different quality.

I am no expert but I don't think those made for actual team use would have the inside manufacturer tags and wash labels. It seems to me that would be most uncomfortable to the wearer during play. (Example being any regular t-shirt or sweat shirt, doesn't that little tag scratch the heck out of your neck?) - You can also google "David Beckham LA Galaxy Herbalife jerseys" and check the images. They show many different versions and color coordinations including actual game shots (some of them have a blue collar) -- Is Beckham and number 23 printed on the back?

His name is not on back, just screen Adidas. Keep in mind this a training jersey not game jersey. I have found nothing with the 23 on chest, in coordination with the db23 tag. Again, what I have read is the formation is made for team issued gear. I have also read that the quality is lower because they are made to only last a few sessions, thus explaining the wear on the front. The tag you see is on the bottom left inside of the shirt, about waistline. In addition, the stitching on the Galaxy logo and mls patch are flawless, much different than the replica. Thoughts? If this is an unwashed authentic, forget the value. It is just an incredible piece to have.

I guess authentication would all be based on how, when, and where you acquired it. If it is a "training" issue then it would have had to come from someone with direct access to the club or the grounds. - Between Herbalife and Adidas, and the LA Galaxy club, they probably printed literally millions of different versions to capitilize on their multi-million dollar endorsement contracts. - Looking at hundreds of images, mostly actual training and game photos, I do not see one single photo that matches your version. - Maybe that's why no one will authenticate it.
