My grandparents always had this lamp on as a night light in the living room area. We enjoy the warm light in our house now and it always is a reminder of them. I believe they got it while they were in Korea, but I'm not sure of the history or anything else really about it. I'd love to know more about the lamp/history. thanks.

      Hi, welcome to CW :-)
      Beautiful piece!
The metal base seems other origin than the carved lady, rather Nepalese.
Is she carved from stone (carnelian) and is her stand carved wood?
I think she is chinese, and the lamp finial too!
Could you add pics of the finial and close up of the lady's stand?
You can add two more pics to your post with edit item button :-)

      Thanks for the comment @kyratango.
I added some additional pics - the finial was broken and glued together at some point and it's hard to see the detail.
The lady does look to be carved out of carnelian or something similar and you are right on her base - it appears to be wood. I hope these new pics help clarify somewhat. Thx!

Thanks for the thanks, and the added pics :-)
the ornate wood stand of the statue says it is not modern, feel it end of 19th, beginning of 20th, and have now a second life as lamp ornement.
