Here's a 1977 vintage McCormick mustard powder tin for your review. There are nice graphics on this tin, and McCormick's also included a pair of recipes also on this container. And, yikes, get a load of that 1977 price!

The McCormick's offices and factory used to be right on Baltimore's Inner Harbor, but after McCormick fled for the suburbs, their building was demolished. So much more romantic in their Baltimore days, as the ships from exotic ports would put in in front of McCormick's and the spices would be transferred to the facility for processing and packing.

On either thing about McCormick's Inner Harbor location….they would have tea time every afternoon gratis for anyone who cared to partake.

Thanks for the information and bit of history, what a lovely thing to have tea on the harbor back then! Something very romantic about ships and spices. :)

Love your spice can, I have a few from the 60s era, and a Hershey's cocoa tin, that I treasure as they are from my mother and grandmother's kitchens.

Hi, Katherine, you are very welcome, and thank you for the love and for your comments.

Such nostalgic items are really cool, and I've got some other older ones, too. Collecting is a great pastime, wouldn't you agree?
