Hello everyone , I will appreciate it very much if you all would please help me to I D this really nice set, i got it from an estate sale and i was very pleased to have gotten it ., it is so nice looking . Someone suggested to me that it might be Italian. I do however, believe that this is a silhouette on crystal or glass i do not know. I'm not sure if this is some sort of silver plate or mercury or what but it is slightly elevated . If you know anything about this set please let us know. Thank you all so very much and God bless. Robert P.S. The decanter measures 9 inch. tall and 7 wide. The glasses are 2 1/2 inch.

It would be silver I think. Definitely a Venetian scene on the stopper and glasses. But it looks Bohemian.

It reminded me very much of 'Haida' glass ..Bohemian...:-)

Thank you guys so much , you all have been a great help. I must say that this piece is not signed. If it were Bohemian glass Wouldn't it be signed ? There are no marks of any kind . Again , thank you all so very much . Robert

Hello, I'm not an expert in glass but i do believe that this piece is hand cut. The fact that this piece isn't signed dose that make it less valuable ? Will someone answer that question for me if you would please. Any ideal of it's age ??? I do think this piece has the potential of being a fantastic piece. Again, thank you all very much. Robert

The scene in the stopper makes me think of St. Mark's Basilica in Venice, but it is harder to see sideways.

Okay my friends, here are some better pictures so that you can really see the details in the glass. I welcome any and all information on this piece. Again, thank you all so very much. Robert

Much better photos for seeing detail and the gondola scene certainly gives it a leaning towards Italian glass ....I so wish all glass makers marked their glass but noooo!! It would make collecting a lot easier..and maybe less exciting...it doesn't make a piece any more less desirable though..will have a better look for you a bit later this evening..when I have a bit more time...:-)

Hello Inky , and everyone who commented on the piece. Inky i believe you nailed it when you said that it could be Bohemia. I was told that the glass was in fact Bohemia ( modern Czech Republic ) about 1930 - 35 . originally six glasses. Again, thank you all so very much. Robert
