I got this beautiful bear at an estate sale. The proprietor of the sale told me it was from a lady in her late 80's now and that it was given to her by her father who was a naval flight commander stationed at pearl harbor during WWII.
This bear stands about 22" tall, has thick long dark moss green mohair fur. (the fur is in now way brown) Has articulated joints of head and legs. Has large round head with large ears set far to it's sides. Has two tone glass eyes. The bear has a hump on his back. Seems to be stuffed with what sounds like straw and is a little crunchy when squeezed
Any ideas on the maker and year?
Thanks.
I can still see some green. Looks like a fine vintage bear.
