This beautiful Wayne 492 Roman Column pump has been waiting for a glass cylinder for many weeks now and we finally robbed a cylinder out of another pump as we couldn't wait any longer to get the pump put together. Today was the day for assembly and it was a thriller to finally get the lights and bonnet on it. We still have to take them back off to put the gallon markers in, as we put them in a "safe place" somewhere in the garage where we couldn't find them when we assembled it the first time just to see it together. We are also looking for the right nozzle for the old guy and with the 30-40 brass pump handles we have in boxes none of them are the right ones! Par for us! This was the pump that we didn't even actually hunt. It hunted us! A guy stopped at aaaLakeside Storage several weeks ago and left his name and phone number on a note asking if we might be interested in buying a "fluted gas pump"? I couldn't dial the number quick enough and dialed it from my cell phone as I got in to my truck to drive in the direction of his phone number. I was at his house in less than 15 min buying the pump with the cash that I took with me to make the deal!!!! Once in a life time event!!! The fun that day found me!!! It hunted me down! I still shake all over and have to pinch myself to make sure it's all for real!!! A real Roman Column and it came to us! Amazing!
Very nice:)
