    Just acquired this and would really appreciate some help identifying its use. Its solid Brass. 7" long and 1.5" Diameter at its thickest end. The hole goes all the way through. Our immediate thoughts are its a pull (ie for a bell or light) - But if so this must have been a VERY large light or grand bell - It weighs 645g.

      Thank you for your comment,not quite grasping why it would be a seal holder as this item has a hole all the way through it and its very heavy ,also it has no threads on either end,all seal holders we have seen are about 3" in size.
      Still keeping your suggestion in the possible pile, once again thank you.
