Can you help identify this irridescent compote?

Please can someone help me to identify this?

In the first picture, I have the piece in question alongside a punch bowl, to give an impression of it's size. I am curious to know if this is even Carnival Glass?? I am referring to a large (compote?), with no manufacturers marks. It is clear glass, with a very clear pink- purple colouration towards the edge.

The inside surface is smooth, and the outside embossed with butterflies, not unlike Fenton's, but pointing in the opposite direction...The pattern is clearly seen in the last attachment. It includes daisies and other foliage.

The front of the piece is irridised in a glossy pearly colour with hints of purple and silver. The back of the piece is more opalescent.

I obtained this piece from a dealer in Pretoria, South Africa. He was under the impression that it is indeed Carnival but was unable to tell me anything more about it.
