Grandma's Vintage Glassware

I have eleven of these that came to me from my mother-in-law, which she may have received from her mother-in-law. They each spent time in Europe (1950's & 1970's) and possibly collected them while traveling. I am curious about the history and its intended use.
It is 4" tall and 2 1/2" across the bowl. The rim has 1/2" of "painted" green with etched scallop pattern. The bowl is etched with an egret style bird, a column structure topped with a flag and foliage style designs. The scallop design on the rim is repeated on the foot.
