This is a nice piece of glass that I found at auction. I believe that it is art glass or maybe even blown art glass. From what era I do not know. It is very heavy and appear to have some kind of gold dust in the glass. Maybe you guys can help me out on this one. the piece is not signed and as you can see it has a hole in the center, why is that ... i do not know . Thank you all so very much. Robert. P.s. the glass measures 7 x 7 inches.in

Beautiful piece, this has me very curious as to it's intended function. Thinking it may be a pendant light.

Lovely piece -- Looks Murano -- but what function?

A lamp shade? or One of Many Glass lamp shade? A candy dish with Pedestal ? A piece to a Murano Water Fountain? http://www.rauantiques.com/item/Murano-Venetian-Glass-Water-Fountain.30-2376.html

No clue ??? ??? ??? Just all guesses???

No my friend , someone suggested that I might have went to another piece considering there's a hole straight through it.that could be so unless It's just a piece of art glass. thank you so much for your inquiry

Have you made use of it? If not I think it would be gorgeous as a pendant light. I am sure it could be fitted as such.
