I have been told that this item is Boopie "Berwick" from Anchor Hocking but all the Berwick that I find is clear. This glassware has an etched rose pattern.
One of my pieces was broken in a move and I need to replace it but I do not know what pattern to search for.
Can anyone identify this pattern please and/or know of a web site or store where I might find it for sale. I need a Juice/Wine glass (4 1/2").
Thank You !!!!
correct; this is Berwick. But that appears to be a cutting rather than an etch, which were often done by independent decorating houses. "R" does have several different cuttings on clear Berwick but I didn't see one matching this. Can only suggest that a persistent search for rose cutting or etch using both Boopie and Berwick may eventually produce results.

Thank you so much for your quick response. No wonder I cannot find this anywhere. I am new at this research thing -- is "R" shorthand for the place where many old patterns can be obtained?
Thanks again for your help.
here's an old unsold eBay listing; you might contact the seller:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Set-of-8-Vintage-Etched-Boopie-Claret-Glasses-rare-pattern-4-5-034-/171755780772?nma=true&si=cNSjwfjqwstEPU5vUMTDIf7dXdI%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
"R" = Replacement.com
make that replacements.com (needs that 's')
Thank you again -- I will keep searching !

Sorry - just one more question. How do I know if this is Anchor Hocking "Boopie" or "Candlewick" by Imperial Glass ?? In my early research I noticed that they are very similar?
Thanks again for your help.
"R" has many examples of both Imperial Candlewick and Anchor Hocking Boopie that might help for comparisons. Unfortunately the term 'candlewick' is way overused for anything having glass a beads/balls motif. I don't think Imperial made a similar Candlewick piece. On this you'll notice is that Anchor Hocking used a safe edge, whereas Imperial Candlewick does not.
OK - I can do more research on "R".
What does a "safe edge" mean?
a safe edge is the rolled edge at the rim which was first patented by Libbey to help limit rim chips.
Great - thanks. I sure have a lot to learn...
