If it's 1925, it's not WWII - looks like a Prussian House of Honor badge but the pictures are not clear enough. Any chance you could scan them? - Also, picture one is actually upside down. - Swordpoints should be pointed up.

      aghcollect I scanned the medallion!

The only time my dad was in Europe was during WWII, I just guessed he got this when he was there during that time period.

Sorry, the scanning only made it harder to read. Here is what I was linking onto, this is from the Royal House Order of Hohenzollern, close but no cigar. The little piece at the center top is probably where the crown snapped off.

The clue is at the center - a target superimposed over crossed rifles and a hunting cap surrounded by laurel wreath: It's a badge for the German National Schuetzenbund, or shooting association. At the end of WWII, such things could be traded to a GI for a tin from his C-rations, a bar of chocolate, or a pack of cigarettes, which may be how your dad got it.

Hey, I'll give you 2 chocolate bars & 2 packs of cigs. for it! How can you turn down a deal of 200% profit? He would be proud of you! LOL!!

Chrisnp, that sounds like my dad! Thank you for the info! I also found a Nazi car flag and two swatstickers. I guess the GIs brought things like that back home. Funny blunderbuss2!!!

Bailey, would love to see pics of the car pennant, swastikas & what else you have. You can poste them here but the auction site is ruled by close-minded people who seem to want to change real history & shape it to their prejudiced ideas.

blundebuss2, I found the same Nazi flag on the Eisenhower National Historic Site! Have to post pictures tomorrow. I do not want to offend anyone. They are WWII items . I also have his US military pins.

These are part of history that we should learn from instead of hiding our heads in the sand like the CW auction site does.
