This chair was purchased at an estate sale for just a few dollars. The needle-pointed seat had been r&r because the fabric was apparently worn. The seat cushion was replaced and the fabric was placed too far back. The chair is definitely hand carved and forged nails were used to add the ornate parts to the frame. We'd like to know more about it. Age, etc.

We purchased it for $10. Refinished and reupholstered it and sold it for $300! It was quite a project.

That is a high price for a single chair-- must have a lot of interest in Eastlake in your area!

Chairs sell for a grip here too. I love the way it looked with it's original needlepoint upholstery. You did do a good job with the r & r tho. It's a lot of work, I know.
