Let me apologize if you seen this post all over Facebook. I know it gets a bit much when we see the same posts on the same 4 or 5 venues. Regardless I am taking advantage of it because I would love to figure out who made this piece.
What attracted me was the stark design coupled with a bit of whimsy applied to the sides and the fact I have never seen one like it before.
My first thought was Christopher Dresser for Webb but it is not Bronze glass. The ground is amethyst. Regardless, I included a piece from my collection attributed to Dresser/Webb to demonstrate why I thought it might be Dresser.
Another thought was a one off piece by Imperial glass but I don’t think so. I am ruling out Loetz….yes? And so that leaves me with the usual suspects – Kralik, Harrach or Rindskopf.
7” inches tall, polished pontil, fire polished rim and amethyst ground.
Would love to hear your thoughts.
HMMM .... NICE !!!!!
Al, they are more like crimped wings, if that helps.
Al I just posted a detail of the "wing".
Pie crust?
Lovely.
