I can't believe I forgot all about this item. I purchased it for just a quarter at a benefit yard sale. I took one look at it and it was love at first sight. I couldn't get all the images but the bottom of the can doesn't have any rust on it and has all the brass finish. It also has all the letters clearly printed. and the rest of the can isn't rusty either. Their is of course paint wear and tarnishing consistent with age.

It is interesting how, at the time they would allow a woman to be displayed in such a way, not saying it is bad, but people would be rioting if this hit the shelf today.

She's more of a sphinx than a woman. I think you are right though. People get uptight about anything these days.
