Hello, my dads found this collar box and I wondered if any one new anything about it or what's inside? There's a silk scarf, 2 bow ties, a glasses case, some old clothes tags and other bits. The item that I loved the most is the invitation to Economics and Accounts Summer Ball at The Portland Hotel, Lakeland suite. Wednesday 21st June, 1989 Ticket £17.50. This is just an incredible find!! Collar boxes were only used up thru the early 1900's. So, this would have been from that period. To find such amazing items inside is just fantastic!! Like you, I am very intrigued by the invitation. That's just wonderful.
I have many collar boxes and bags in my collection, but nothing as fab as this. Thanks very much for sharing.
