Two small lidded bowls (perhaps jewelry boxes?) produced at the Kähler Pottery in Denmark in the late 1920's or early 1930's. One is decorated with a speckled orange uranium glaze, the other with black and turquoise glaze, the so-called 'matte lustre' invented by Jens Thirslund in 1926. I've seen one of these bowls with a yellow uranium glaze, but it was quite expensive, so I didn't buy it... I've added two pictures of two unlidded bowls (possibly cigarette holders), one with the same orange uranium glaze, and one with the yellow type (just for comparison).
Dimensions: diameter 6 cm; height 3 cm. Mark: HAK for Herman A. Kähler, and 'Denmark'. Unlidded bowls - diameter 7.5 cm; height 6 cm.
Thank you so much for all the loves, everyone - I appreciate it!
