    I found this lovely opalescent bowl at an estate sale years ago and have never seen another like it!

    It is shell shaped with a metal base and metal trim on front and back.

    It is approximately 13" wide and about 11" from side to side.

    It is in great condition with no major issues.

    I would love to know the maker and the age.

      Thank you for responding! Yes, it does look like the Duncan Miller "Sanibel!" I went to a couple of websites and found similar pieces...........but none with the metal trim!

      At least I now have a place to start my research!

      the metal was added by a third party; personally I think it would looks much nicer without the metal. Very nice find : )
