    (100 items)

In the first photo on the left, hard to photograph, an onion shape almost genie bottle like glass vase.

Magnificent blue with gradient colour to almost white. The pattern to the top is linear and the whole thing is hard to photograph anf bring the pattern out. Sorry..... Stands just over 12 inches tall.

Does anyone have a similar one and ideas on attribution? I had been told Harrach, Mt Washington, Fenton the works...

    Any ideas???

No, but I do have an identical blue/gold lampshade base...., great taste if I do say so myself! :)

LOL...OH YOU MEAN THE LAMP IN THE BACK...LOL...WAS THINKING WHERE ON EARTH WOULD THEY HAVE PUT THE GOLD ON A VASE LIKE THIS....LOL...IM STILL LAUGHING...!

Are you in Australia and did you buy it at Beacon??? They seem to bring this style back in every few years. This ones 5-6 years old and I love it as it has a real damask type feel about it. The drapes in the back are damask as well. I bought this to match my dinnerware being Wedgwood Cornucopia which is gold, navy and white; such great colours together :) Thanks for liking my lamp!!!

Anne, thanks for sharing your "blue boy".Really "handsom" :)
I also thougt about Stourbridge, but I'm afraid,I'm not helpful with adding another maker to your list :(

You're very welcome, glad you had a laugh! Yes I am in Oz and did buy mine at Beacon a few years back. I should have also mentioned that all of your vases in the photo are very lovely.:)

Lovely collection Anne! I love them all but particularly the blue satin air trap, what an unusual shape. I've always thought of satin air trap as English but I'm sure others made them too. Good luck in finding out. It will be nice to see if anyone knows where its from.
    6. AnneLanders AnneLanders, 9 years ago
Hi Fran, English makers made this pattern as did Mt Washington and Fenton. Oh and Harrach.

I've had this vase up before and not too many ideas but these are mine. The trouble is millions have an idea as to why there versions are correct. So I have no idea on maker....at all... changes every week...lol

      Hi Lulux
It's good to know there is another colletor who is a member of CW and in Australia too and who shares my taste in lamps. it's a small world!!

It is a small world, I'm outside of Melbourne in Victoria and only recently came across the CW website. Some members have been outstanding in comments and offered great encouragement in their kind words. I have learnt a lot from them.

lol I'm in Mernda which is north of Melbourne just slightly part of Melbourne just under Whittlsea. Maybe one time you are coming to Melbourne we can catch up with coffee. Unfortunately I'm not driving at the moment.
Thank you for liking some of my goodies. Feel free to visit my other items by clicking my namr. I to had a sticky beak at your collecting. If I see anything of interest around I will let you know. I love your ginger jar and tea caddy. All very nice :)

Thanks Sean, as usual you are too kind.
Thank you Ivonne. I must look in to Stourbridge...I really cannot cope with the expensive nature of these vases, become a collector would cost a fortune. Can you believe I scored this for $16... :)

Yes, I know Mernda, I travelled out there to buy a saddle a few years back and often travelled through Whittlesea. It's a lovely part of Victoria, but dont seem to get over that way now. I'll certainly have a look at your other items and take you up on the coffee. I train it into city every now and then. Will let you know. Cheers Lynette.

Hi Anne..Ooh yes so they are:) I see I commented on them before but don't remember it, and forgot to 'love', a mishap I assure you, They're beautiful. I'd love to know more about them. Interesting you say they maybe Mt. Washington, it's a name I keep seeing along side satin airtrap. Is the pink vase in front satin glass also?
    16. AnneLanders AnneLanders, 9 years ago
which vase "in front of" as I can only see the pink mica which isnt and then the one one the right in the in the second picture, could be said to be satin I suppose. I think that one is a Thomas Web..it's stunning with gold branches under grey leaves. The gold is real, 24 karat gold worth which is the highest measurement and it's one of my loveliest vases. But then arent they all...we love everything about all our vases, the true collectors and appreciators...

Hi Anne, sorry for the confusion, I get my lefts and rights mixed up all the time! I meant the pink mica vase. I only asked because I wondered if there's such a thing as a glossy satin airtrap (which wouldn't fit it's name, but thought I saw one not unlike your mica vase but can't find it now so maybe I was mistaken). When you say the one on the right in pic#2, do you mean the one at the back, orange with flowers right of the blue Mt. Washington? That has a satin look but no trapped pattern. Which is another thing I was wondering, whether they're made plain satin without air trapped geometric patterns in them?
    18. AnneLanders AnneLanders, 9 years ago
it's fine Fran. I don't mind your questions. First of all as I don't "collect" the stuff, I have no idea what airtrap means. And I can be bothered or probably more to the point have time atm to look it up as to what is airtrap. Don't get me wrong, it's a new word to me. That's all.....the tall blue one is the one I think it Mt Washing. The pink one with grey stems and gold branches is Thomas Web... I'll put a post up shortly for you but I'm having trouble adding attachments to my new iphone, so relying on old photos in my library atm...will come back to you....I'll post a few shots...

Hi Anne, TBH I'm don't know what airtrap means either but see it for these types of vases. I get the satin...it looks and feels like it, the Airtrap, I assumed, was the geometric patterns in it, but I could be completely wrong. Lol
