This porcelain dog doll was bought for me as a gift and I have no idea of it's history or it's value. I have been unable to find any markings on the doll.
I would appreciate any comments. I have other photos available
    Thank you

A artist doll from around 1980-90s . Made as a display piece or novelty not a toy. It should be signed on back of neck or may have just had a hang tag .

Thank you for your very swift and helpful reply.
I think it must have had a hand tag as there is definitely nothing on the back of the neck.
I think I will pop it on ebay and see iff anyone shows an interest.
      Thanks again

Hi I received 8 dolls very similar to the one you have. Mine are different animals and were part of a collection owned by a very famous female singer. None have names on them, but I recognise the button used on your doll, it is exactly the same print as the ones used on my dolls too. Did you find out who made these dolls and when? The work and detail on their clothing is beyond anything I have ever seen! Absoutely stunning!! Mine too are a mystery!
