We looked for what seemed like forever to finally find a small Fuel Delivery Tanker to put on a Truck. We found several fuel delivery Trucks complete with tanks and pumps but they were always bigger than what we were looking for. Finally a Collector friend up in Idaho called us about this old two compartment fuel tank that a neighbor had collected many years ago and never put it to use. It looked perfect to us so we drove up in the middle of an icy winter and fought the bitter winds and cold and brought it home to rest at the AaaLakeside Storage Museum. We previously had it mounted to the old 49 Studebaker Truck but thought it fit better on the cute old 1946 Dodge Truck we bought a few months ago that only has 27,000 original miles on it. We even had to move the Dodge to this new location to make room for the WWII Half Track that should be delivered some time this week. I sure hope he doesn't come on Thurs when we are planning our trip back to Idaho to get our new little 1948 International Cub Tractor and pick through a friends recently expired dads old sign and gas pump collection. Since "Murphy" tends to be our "planning secretary" that will most likely be the day that everything takes place! We shall see. The fun will still be in the hunt!
Another great story.
