I've been told Persia or Iran is where this lovely red, white and blue linen masterpiece originated? I think it is linen, but I know they started using cotton later on, so I'm assuming perhaps this would be considered vintage or antique? It's about the width of a standard queen size bed, the length is longer than the length of a queen size bed by about two feet or so. It's rather interesting with it's depiction of interactions between the peoples. It looks as though the images are printed into the linen, some of the ink can be seen through the other side. I have had it verified as being a pure linen fabric. Whatever this tapestry be, it's origins and purposes, that I would love to figure out? Please share your thoughts.
