The images that you see all that of an original illustration by John Jensen. measuring 19 1/4 inches by 34 1/4 inches framed and 15 1/2 x 11 1/4 inches unframed, the item was locates in a secondhand store in the Orenges in New Jersey. It is signed "Jensen" in the lower left hand corner.

John Jensen was born John Gibson in Sidney, Australia in August of 1930. He took the name of his step father during the 1940's. In 1946 and 1947, he attended Julian Arlton School of Art and became a freelance illustrator for Australian National Journal. His first published cartoon was with Sidney Sun in 1946.
He arrived in London on the SS Fred Christiansen as mess boy in 1950's. Initially, Jensen took a job as an actor dresser at London Piccadilly Theatre.
From 1951 to 1953, he drew pocket cartoons, ,caricatures and illustrations for the Burmingham Gazette and was also responsible for Punch.
