This is a very early example of Charles Lotton's work. Done in 1972 for Lillian Nassau, the famous New York antiques dealer, who was also one of Charles Lotton's earliest benefactors. Mrs. Nassau declared that Mr. Lotton's glass was "the Tiffany of the future". The vase was acquired from the estate of Lillian's son, Paul, by the friend who sold it to me. Beautiful silky opal glass with wave decoration in silver and blue luster. Signed and dated Lotton 1972.
Cool piece!
