I picked up this old wooden coaster wagon at a local weekly auction, and while I collect wagons, and consider myself very knowledgeable as far as coaster wagons go, this one is a bit of a mystery to me
It says 'Speedmore Ball Bearing Coaster', in what appears to be the original factory font. I did some internet searching ,and the Belknap Hardware and Manufacturing Company produced a stamped steel coaster wagon called a Speedmore in 1940. I assume the wood version that I have is earlier? I don't like to assume.
If anyone has any information, regarding an approximate timeframe my wagon was made, and if Belknap did in fact produce it, I would love to hear from you.
    Thank you for your time!

I have a 1937 Belknap catalog, no. 88. It shows a wood Speedmore on page 1816, made from 1/2" birch. Wheels are 10 inch dia steel, with ball bearings. It looks very close to yours.

That's great information frisco, thank you very much! Is there any chance you'd be willing to scan, or even photograph that page and get it to me?

OK, Adam, I had to create a new post but I did it, under Belknap Catalog. Did it help you out at all?

      Hi Adam,

I have a photo of this exact Speedmore Coaster wagon. My Mom is sitting in the wagon and is about 3 years old I would guess. That would date the photo to circa 1926. It was taken I believe in Ft. Atkinson, WI.

I am not very familiar with this site, I just stumbled on your post when I queried Speedmore Coaster. I will try to post it here under "Speedmore Coaster 1926." (Can not find a category for anything close to coaster wagons). If that doesn't work I could try e-mailing it to you.

      Adam,

Success! I posted it simply Speedmore Coaster.
