I really liked it because it sounded creepy. I found it at the local thrift shop for 5 bucks. It's in great working order and plays two different melodies. It plays Brahm's Lullaby briefly and then some other unknown melody. It looks a bit on the older side due to the way it's constructed. I'm just looking for a basic time period and possible origin. It's super cool. It has an extra compartment underneath once you fold it out one more time.
Thanks oldandsilly. I think it might be Swiss. I found a similar box with a Cuendent movement that plays Edelweiss which is the flower that's carved on it and it grows in the Alps. More research is needed.
