Dolphin Glass had a very particular style and this glass is a good example of it.
They invariably used black glass with colour spatter; always it seems with this red, and also yellow, blue, green and sometimes a bit of gold sheet.
Clear cased (as you would expect from this era Japanese glass).
The base of this vase is typical also, with the double ground base left in a light satin finish. At times they have a set of concentric rings moulded over the pontil also.
I have some confusion currently relating to the maker of Dolphin, and actual production time, however I believe this would be a 60s maybe 70s piece.

Gorgeous strong colours, Karen, and a beautifully shaped rim.
