Luzerne Bank….Art Deco

This is the last detail of The Luzerne Bank. There are a pair of these faces on the right and left sides of the upper reaches of the building. To me, these look like images of Mercury. If anyone can confirm or correctly identify, please do so, thanks.

Besides the profile, many Art-Deco characteristics can be seen in this photo.

All in all, even with the modifications to this building, its ArtDeco design has not been obscured.

Not to be too critical, but I think that this building's appeal would be enhanced by a good exterior cleaning.

I'd like to photograph the inside, but with things being the way they are in our times, I'm fearful of even asking for permission to do so :(
