Greetings all. I have this old copper token that measures 1 1/4" in diameter. On the Obverse: 3 stars, SEATTLE SALT and 2 bolts in the border around the center medallion which features a caricature of bearded sailor with a 'Thumbs Up'. On the Reverse: GREATER SEATTLE with raised and detailed image of Mt. Rainer in the background, Smith Tower, a sail Boat on Puget Sound.

I am trying to determine what this token would have represented or advertised and when it was made. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

This is a token that was given to children in the 1930's from the Seattle Salt Cafe on the Seattle Kalakala ferry. The token is a sailors looking out of one of the ferry's famous porthole windows. If you look hard enough you will see the Art Deco ferry. Seattle Salt was the first of three Cafe's that was on this ferry.
