A classic Ford product, this 1957 Thunderbird was seen at a recent car show.
1957 was the T-Bird's 2nd year of production. For a reason unknown to me, later editions dropped the sports car like design of 56 & 57.
Good afternoon, aghcollect…..thank you for the love. Just think what could have been if Ford had kept this design? But I guess that they did all right with the Mustang!
I'm a MOPAR man, myself…..
Hi, Manikin…thanks for your love of this classic car!
Thank you, officialfuel!
Fun,Fun,Fun.............
I think this was one of their best designs too!
Thanks, Paul……a great reference to the Beach Boys' hit tune!
Yes, shareurpassion, it was a timeless design….
Thank you all for your love of this image!
I love your T Bird!!! It's a beauty. I had a beautiful 57 Bird that a friend of mine knew about that only had about 10,000 mi on it in 1961. It belonged to the actress Susan Kohner and was just parked and never driven. My friend thought I'd like it so made arrangements for me to buy it. I loved that car & it was a real eye catcher as I was a single college kid at the time. Those were the days!
Sounds like you loved that car, Rattletrap!
Thanking each of you for your love of this classic car….
Actually the first T Bird came out in 55 and was very similar to the 56 except the exhaust came out in a different place in the rear bumper and the tops didn't have the port holes. My friend had a 55 and we sure had a lot of fun in that car. Fabulous Fifties was right!
Hi, Rattletrap…thanks for the info!!!!
