Sometimes when you're out hunting for old Gas Pumps and Porcelain Signs you get side tracked along the way by things like a Mountain Man Rendevious in Ft Bridger Wyoming. If that happens to you then you might also find some cool things like this beautiful Buffalo skull painted for a wall in a Teepe but on my wall in our log home made from logs salvaged from the notorious Yellowstone fire of the last Century. We love gas pumps & signs but have a home full of Antiques and Indian artifacts that stimulate the imaginations of old and young alike. Hunting old stuff is a lot of fun and America is a great place to live and enjoy the blessings of Freedom, Security, and Hope. Keep on hunting, I'm told it will keep you young!
Oops! I didn't even mention this beautiful Bobcat rug mounting we got from a guy in Beautiful Butte Montana. That's another great story for another time but the mount is beautiful & the cat is pretty big. The double trailer headdress you can see to the side of the cat is an incredible find we made at the Ft Bridger Meet several years ago.
Sorry Rattletrap, but your idea of "Freedom, Security & Hope" was disproved to me in the early '70's. That's why I left "That dream" 42 years ago. Only regret is, I didn't leave sooner! I know you won't agree with that, but I have & like my life with more freedom, security & hope. Sorry to disagree, but I've had experience living in numerous countries (Not just visiting).
Perspective is always interesting & seems to vary from person to person. I have lived outside of America for about 10% of my life in Uruguay, Paraguay, Argentina and Guatemala. My favorite is America, land of the Free & Home of the Brave, but allow for others to have their own opinions based on their experiences. I live in an area of America where we don't need to lock the house & leave the keys in the car and can have a concealed weapon if I want it, so my perspective is jaded by my experience. I've never been robbed or asaulted, nor have any of my family members, but we have seen some pretty scary things in other Countries & places in America. I wish you Good Luck wherever you chose to live.
