i bought this bike know nothing about it but it says derby on frame , chain guard it, i think its made in germany , has rubber wheels, frame seems to come apart in peaces, has a model sticker but cant identify what it says any help will be good, i would like to restore to original as possible.
Made by hedstrom,sold at sears as boy or girl bike if u look you can flip the top bar upside down and move up or down. I have two of these my bikes say Moto cross on the chain guard. You can almost disassemble entire frame for storage. Don't know year between 1950 and 1979

Look for little holes in down tube on frame this is the mount holes for top rail
Have u found any numbers on yours
handlebars seems welded to gooseneck factory looking, now numbers like serial numbers? what holes am i looking for close to the seat?
i looked up them hedstrom bikes but i see all those bike say hedstrom on chainguard nd in front of frame mine says derby in 3 places .. im goin to take more pics nd post them here but thanks man your pretty much on the money on info thanks.. also im looking to restore this bike i dont want to see the bike rust through even if it take value away i would like to see it last another decade lol is there any info on paint codes, and where i can get stickers to replace old ones, paint looks like a gold metallic..thanks again
