I don't try to ID this trophy vase as Welz or Ruckl, because even after having read Craig's site on trophy vases ,I don't feel I can do it in this case.
Nevertheless when I saw this vase on a bid I was amused and pleased at the same time, since the seller called it " a small vase from 1960s".
The vase is 18 cm tall. It' isn't made too carefully : the right handle is 0,5 cm longer than the left and its surface is decorated with crimps while the left is smooth.
It's also dirty inside the foot what's changed its colour in places.
Thanks for looking :)
Lovely, Ivonne, I think uneven handles are fairly usual.....of mine three out of four are uneven!
Ah,Thanks Peggy! It's my first piece with such handles so I couldn't compare. Thanks again!
Thanks Kevin for the love :-)
stunning!!!!
Thank you sklo,SEAN,aghcollect,EAPGD and welzebub for the loves :)
I think your trophy vase is Welz. The shape has been seen in two Welz décors, the oxblood décor and the green honeycomb décor, and maybe more. Gardening had to come first today though!!
My first thought was about Welz too.I believe in the first thought,it usually works :).
Gardening was my yesterday's occupation.Today it's raining ...
Such a pretty decor Ivonne but I really love the hadles and the way they are attached.
Thank you mikelv, katherinescollections,Vladimir,Michelle ,smiata and racer4four for the loves and also racer for the comment :-)
