My granddaughter found this ballerina behind a tombstone in an old family cemetery. There is no telling how long it was behind there. The deceased passed away in 1929. I've looked for images of it and the closest I've found is a musicbox from the 1940's. The ballerina has movable legs attached to her body by little springs. Any insight would be most appreciated.
It could also came out of a musical decanter they had similar dolls in the once.
Music box or jewelry box ballerina She is hard to tell if celluloid or plastic by photo's but depending on material of skirt if left out in open since 40's it would have deteriorated so have to assume it was recently placed there , by a family member .
I agree Manikin with you it looks to clean to have been there to long some little girl or boy may have even dropped it & not sure were it was lost. Cute anyway
