This was a gift from my sister, she knows my love for Diana. I took a speech class in high school and we studied different famous speeches and we did for that Diana wrote and I just loved it. The photo on the plate is from her trip to Hong Kong and the dress was Dubbed “The Elvis Dress,” this high collar pearl-encrusted bolero was actually inspired by Elizabethan ruffs and designed by Catherine Walker. The gown is made of silk and oyster pearls. Diana wore this dress on a trip to Hong Kong in 1989 and also for a formal portrait 1990. This gown was included in Christie’s auction in 1997.

I rode in an elevator with her. Her face was like fine glass.
      Very beautiful piece.

Nice plate, don't know if she'd appreciate being called Princess of Whales. ;)
