I picked this up for $60. I hope I made a wise decision on this. The piece looks to be from the early 1900s. I could be totally wrong on this but dated the porcelain caster (1) and (3) wooden ones. The lady I got it from bought it at an estate sale. She really didn't know much about it. Well I took the plywood off since I posted this originally. Looks alot better to me now.
I think you bought a pig in a poke, but if you intend keeping it no harm done.

You have lots of mismatch and from what I see, (pictures aren't great) some repairs. I would think the actual base desk is probably pre WWII. Not a major piece but very nice.
Yeah I kinda figured that I see the add ones. Should I take it off to make original?

Thanks Kyratango!!! I seen that and had to leave it on there. Kinda takes me back to my school days. Time is passing us everyday and we need to realize. Take life day by day and do the best you can. It's already been 10 years since graduation for me.
