A decidedly Art Nouveau form, this is from around 1900-1902. This decor appears from time to time in various forms, but the actual name applied to it by Loetz still remains a mystery, and until invoices with these are found in the archives it is not likely to be solved anytime soon. As you can see by photo #4, the shape is identical to Gary's Creta Neptune vase. This one measures exactly 5" tall, and has a nicely polished pontil and fire-polished rim. I have seen mention in the Series II book of a "zick-zack" decor. This may or may not be the one mentioned, but the word fits the squiggles and dots.
Great piece, Dave! where can I see this decor in other shapes?
Gary, I'll message you.
