I got this oven of family they told me it was coal gas and came from a place in NSW over 20 yrs ago. Its raw cast iron and its 34cmH 65cmW and 32cmD its quite small. It has the word METTERS "PIGMY" don't the front of the door and the inside of door it says PIGMY D and on the bottom it has NO.8. Its a hotplate on top a burner to 1 side and a shelf thingy on the other. I can't find anything on Google if anyone has any info can they tell me please.

You didn't look to hard. It was made in Sydney, Australia. Google brings it back quickly. Try searching in Australia and you will have plenty to read.

If yours is actually spelled "pigmy" rather than "pygmy" you probably have a fake reproduction.

Cool thanks and I was looking in Australia just couldn't find pics of this particular one and it must b a reproduction but that's cool it still looks good as a display in my kitchen :)

Research Metters Limited in Sydney. The company was bought out but I believe the company that bought them is still in business, just a different name. Send them pic's and ask if they can help. Worst they can do is ignore you.

I'll definately do that I'm not worried if it isn't original i look at it as a piece of art :) like most old things. Thanks for your help :)
